Previously, Shemiran had many gardens and strong plane trees, which became known as Chenarestan. These trees became the symbol of this region of Tehran. The design strategy is to negotiate and challenge the criteria for establishing the 60%+2 urban block to prevent the cutting of the existing plane trees. Due to the new arrangement of locating the mass and the negative spaces, the plane trees were preserved, and the desirable quality of the urban and interior landscape (expanding the yard area and removing the lightwell) was achieved.
